Hi there! First time here? Feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you like what you read, you can vote for me on IrishBlogs.info. Thanks for visiting!

I’m just back from the Casualty department of the Louth Hospital here in Dundalk and I’m pretty relieved to have found out that my neck pain has been the result of abnormally swollen muscle tissue and not in fact pinched nerves as the GP had told me… so it’s actually nothing (apparently) to do with my previous head injury.

The Casualty doctor has given me a gel to bring down the swelling and told me to keep taking the ibuprofen pain killers the GP prescribed anyway. I’ll be back to work tomorrow, but I’m not to do any heavy lifting or strain myself too much.

So, erm… phew, eh?

It struck me as I looked, with the doctor, at the 4 or so X-Ray’s that were taken of my head and neck, that I’d like to own a copy of one of them for myself. Can’t explain why… or why it struck me that everyone should have an x-ray of their own head… it just did.

Perhaps I’m going weird in my (not so) old age.

Chest xrays are also pretty cool. I have one (of mine!) hanging in my office.
Er, oddly, I guess.
