Hi there! First time here? Feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you like what you read, you can vote for me on IrishBlogs.info. Thanks for visiting!

I’m listening to Dundalk FM 100 at the moment and the fellah on it right now thinks that Ireland didn’t win on Wednesday because the place HE went to watch the match in was the same place he’d watched it in the last 2 or 3 times Ireland failed to win. He thinks it’s just HIS bad luck. THINK AGAIN, BUCKO!

Anyway, I’ve been looking forward to this evening.

Absolutely everything that needs to be done is now done nice and early in the day and absolutely nothing now needs to be done for the rest of the day but taking it nice and easy and relaxing at home with my partner. It might not sound like much, but believe me;- it’s rare that I get to do that on a Friday night! - Usually, I’m planning and then producing/presenting that 3-hour Friday night local radio show of mine :p. Anyway- instead tonight, I’ve plenty of dossing about, doing nothing/listening to music/messing about on the Internet/watching some entertaining TV (… like Spoons on Channel 4) to look forward to.. This may seem like nothing much to most readers but to me, it’s a release of sorts. Hey, I might even have a RADOX BATH.

These are all things you obviously need to know. Sure that’s what blogs are for, isn’t it? You also need to know that it’s bitterly cold here in Dundalk this evening, despite looking nice and inviting out. Damn you Mother Nature, you deceptive ould bitchwhore! The dog is looking at me, wanting to go for a walk but she can go fuck herself to be honest;- I’m staying right here indoors with the heat on! The dog can just go slowly mad, cooped up in the kitchen with her arse ever-slowly growing bigger. What else do you need to know? … uh… right now I’m reading Dan Brown’s book “Angels and Demons” (the prequel, I believe, to “The daVinci Code”) - and I’m still patiently waiting for it to impress me.

Now, Katie Melua has just come on the radio with her new song “Nine Million Bicycles”, in which she informs us that Beijing is home to, - yes you guessed it! - nine million bicycles!!! … Fascinating stuff, and something that makes me rush to fire up [Insert MP3 download software name here] immediately and grab the song for myself!!

In other news, I’d like to once more re-iterate what a wonderful bunch of grindingly helpful and groin-thrustingly fabulous people the good folks in Permanent TSB are. They’ve gotten me out of a tight spot,- and no mistake! I’ll obviously not go into too much detail, but suffice to say that it’s well worth considering making the disturbingly easy step of switching your bank account over to them, as their horribly stereotyped American/Italian gangster-type guy on the TV ad suggests.

Anyway, as another TV ad says “Hungry? Why wait?!” - so I shall now charge downstairs for an imitation Snickers bar (called “Racer”, sold by “Aldi” and tastes “exactly the same”). Take care of yourselves. And each other.

WATCH SPOONS. IT’S GREAT.

Katie Melua was born in Romania you know, where instead of nine million bicycles, there are nine million women whose only source of income is to sell carnations on the street to drunk people in the dead of night.

Thats a fact.
