My warmest congratulations go to my friends Sorcha and Ian, who’s baby daughter was born yesterday in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda at 4.32pm, weighing 8lb 2oz. All involved are very healthy and happy and by the sounds of it (was talking to her this morning) the kid is quite a hungry little screamer!

She had it pretty easy, to be honest, with no drugs required and baby arriving just over 2 1/2 hours after her waters broke and just a half hour after the urge to push hit her! Push-o! Push-o! Cor blimey-o! Da Bambino! Der Holy Sprog esta arriv-o! Bonjourno della sproggo! Scorchio!

Naturally, myself and my partner simply can’t WAIT until it’s our turn!* We’re going to have loads of kids!* One a year for the next 10 years!* Oh yes!*

Anyway, on a personal note,… - well done Sorcha and Ian and best of luck for the future. We’ll see all three of ye soon!
