In the last couple of radio shows, I’ve brought in a co-host - my co-worker, Darren Corr, and it’s been way more fun than presenting the show on my own, I must say.

On April 14th, we did the Top Ten Man Songs (with Isaac Hayes’ ‘Theme from Shaft’ being number one) - and, in the interest of fairness, last Friday we did the Top Ten Songs for a Girls Night Out (with Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ taking the top spot). Apart from that we’ve been giving away pizzas, playing great music, taking the piss out of celebrities, enjoying a bit of comedy and just generally having a fun old time.

Yesterday evening, I went to the after party of the christening of my friend Sorcha’s baby Rhiannon in Ardee, and just like any party I’ve been to in Ardee before, it was frankly insane. There were 40 - 50 mad Ardee folk packed into one small house laughing, shouting, dancing, eating, drinking, taking the piss out of each other, singing, running around the garden, impersonating ducks, and just basically having a laugh (innit!). By the end of the evening, 10 or so of us were crammed into a small room getting drunk and watching short cartoons on the Internet (from sites like Weebl’s Stuff and Rather Good) and playing around with Bebo. Nerdy… but funny all the same. Oh… I say “we” were ‘getting drunk’ … I wasn’t - I had to drive home. Fun fun fun..!
