This morning, my fiancèe was taking the dog for a walk when they were attacked by a BIG vicious local dog on the Lower Point Road. My fiancèe has been to the doctor for a tetanus injection and I’m bringing Sasha (the dog) to the vet shortly. Apparently, the dog grabbed her, picked her up and shook her violently, and my girlfriend, in trying to help her, got bitten herself. The bite only barely broke her skin and she was lucky not to have been hurt more, but better safe than sorry - off to the doctor with her.
Anyway, I’ll definitely be going with her next time she goes walking… and I’ll be bringing a bloody big stick. Any dog that decide to attack her in future is showing a blatant disregard for its own skull.
Sasha (also known as “Bonzo”) is injured from it alright. The dog bit into her side and drew blood. She’s a bit shaken and scared of her own shadow at the moment - she keeps hiding under the rocking chair. This is her, yesterday, before this ordeal:

Really… tighter control needs to be kept on these vicious beasts. As you can imagine, I’m fairly pissed off!

If the dog bit her and broke her skin you are legally entitled to call for that dog to be put down, what if it had bitten a child a toddler and not an adult.
Hope they both recover soon.
My fiancee is fine. Bonzo’s still a bit shaken and will be on anti-biotics for the next 6 days.
We don’t want the dog to be destroyed - we just want to be as sure as possible that it won’t happen again. Plus, we’re out of pocket because of doctors and vets fees, so we want those back from the dogs owner.
The dogs owner is an old age pensioner who was attacked in his home by thugs a while back and he has the dog for protection as well as companionship. He’s going to give me the money tomorrow.
I know how you feel, there was a huge boxer around the other side of the block from where I live a while, and he once attacked my dog. It is incredibly sad that potentially dangerous animals are let roam without reguard for what could happen.
