Hi there! First time here? Feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you like what you read, you can vote for me on IrishBlogs.info. Thanks for visiting!

Wikipedia’s big list of faux pas has a semi-comprehensive Irish section which, while I can’t vouch for its accuracy, makes for interesting reading. It would probably be good for certain tourists to read it before visiting here. Likewise, there’s some interesting sections on other countries too. If you’re planning on going international in the near future, it’s never a bad idea to school yourself on the no-nos of the culture you’re headed for… although after scanning through it myself, I’m now even less likely to go to Germany any time soon.

In other “sacre bleu” matters, there is now a screensaver which mimics the dreaded Windows “blue screen of death” and reboot screens to fool passers-by into thinking the PC is completely borked… and not only that, but it’s actually MADE by Microsoft! It even has a “Fake disk activity” option in the settings. Good way to scare the wits out of your co-worker or roommate? Sure. It’s is a free download, Windows only, unsurprisingly.
