I really and truly hate those stupid ads on TV for annoying mobile phone ring-tones… (those Glomobi feckers, especially…) but then, who doesn’t? Who’s going to pay 4 quid a week for the privilege of getting the sound of a laughing Mexican, screaming baby, braying donkey or – heaven forbid – a frog with his willy hanging out yelling “ga-ding-ding-ding-dawww” – eminating from your phone? … I guess I’d be surprised!

Now, though, the latest ring-tone craze (if we’re to believe the ads currently running on Sky/E4/C4/etc.) is… wait for it… BANANA PHONE! Sound familiar? … Well to any one who considers themselves as even moderately old school” Internet users, it surely should do – as it originated here, at lemonizer.com as the Flash animation “Badgerphone” (a very weird tribute to Weebl’s Badgers – which achieved somewhat of a cult status on the ‘net). Badgerphone/Bananaphone also made its way onto AlbinoBlackSheep.com (… oh and onto some crap site which I won’t link to owned by an arse named E. Bauman).

Anyway, what I’m driving at is that Bananaphone – the song – the animation – is FREELY available on the Internet, so people shouldn’t be badger(badgerbadger)ed into PAYing for it. (See what I did there?) So!… I’ve decided to give it away here… If you’ve got an MP3 capable phone, and you want the Banana Phone song as your ring-tone – download the MP3 file, put it on your phone and set it as your ring-tone… FREE. How you put it on your phone (bluetooth, infrared or data cable) is up to you. How you download it?… push the button!
