I swear there’s something going on in Dundalk… a real conspiracy…

The other day, when out driving around the town (had the missus with me - she’s my witness), I encountered at least five black VW Passats with silver trim in a very short space of time and travelling a very short distance.

Yesterday, when I was coming back home from doing the drive-time “Live & Local” show in Dundalk FM - from Partnership Court, off Park Street over to the Red Barns Road - which, as any locals will know, is only a mile or two, I encountered at least EIGHT of the same model and colour car, making me think there’s definitely something going on…

Maybe it’s Cumiskey’s - they’ve just opened a VW dealership in Dundalk. Maybe they’re sending people out in shiny black Passats to make the local populace see them and want them. (I know I want one now!). Maybe it’s just as my fiancèe’s mother’s fiancèe, Liam, says… “it’s just a nice car and the local people have taste…” *shrug*

I dunno. Each time I’ve gone out in the car in the last week, I seem to end up directly behind one or being followed by one and see at least 4 or 5 of them per journey. In the 1/2 mile or so drive into work this morning, I saw 2 of them. It’s almost enough to make me paranoid… silly - I know… I’m still going to keep count though… for now… Might start taking photos too…
