Hi there! First time here? Feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you like what you read, you can vote for me on IrishBlogs.info. Thanks for visiting!

Here’s a typical running order from my radio show, this one being from last nights programme. It gives some idea of the layout of the show but it doesn’t really show the amount of time taken and work that goes into putting a show together.

Generally, producing and presenting a 3 hour radio show is great craic (and lots of work!) but last night’s one was especially fun as it went perfectly smoothly with no ‘technical difficulties’ and I loved the music I was playing - especially in the Top Ten section!

I’m always happy to get any suggestions for the Top Ten, for who to interview, for comedy, etc. etc.

Fair play for playing The Radio. ONe of my favourite bands of all time is Rollerskate Skinny - the most underrated, and most influential (Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire etc all have traces of RS, as do rip off merchants BEll X1) Irish band of all time.

Stephen Murray from the radio was their bass player.

You should also check out Favourite Sons - Ken Griffin, the RS singer, his new band.

he also had a top 5 Billboard hit in 1998 as Kid Silver.

He is still unknown over here for some reason, despite being a genius.

Sorry for waffling on. I love Rollerskate Skinny. I might do a post on them next week…
