They’re talking about him on RTÉ 2FM right now. Much loved showman, showband leader, and all round entertainer, Joe Dolan passed on at around 3pm today from a brain haemorrhage in the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
I worked the bar once at one of his gigs and he was a great performer and a proper gent.

OMG im in shock i only found out today- i cant believe it i knew he wasnt well but i never expected this, he was such a showman and everyone in my family loved his music

Absolutely devastated at the sad news of Joe’s passing. Have been a life long fan - no one will ever take his place - A sad loss for the music industry. RIP Joe you will be sorely missed
