jeremy_beadle.jpgVia boards.ie comes the sad news that Jeremy Beadle, TV prankster, star of “Beadle’s About” and “You’ve Been Framed”, who had been suffering from leukaemia for some time, died today after slipping into a coma following a short battle with pneumonia.

May he rest in peace.

beadlesabout.jpgSome might say it’s in slightly bad taste but I’m sure Jeremy himself found this classic Spitting Image song hilarious, despite it’s name (”We All Hate Jeremy Beadle”). Check out the newspaper headline from “The Sun” held aloft half way through the song (pictured, left)…

Ouch! (This picture seems all the more prophetic to me now because of the fact that I watched it only yesterday, not knowing of his ailment.)

    This is sad, he seemed like a really nice guy and was a fond part of my childhood.

    Erm that puppet doesn’t look anatomically correct. Can’t remeber SI being PC. I’m surprised they didn’t give him a claw or something.
