I, like one in roughly every 7 and a half people am left-handed - a ciothóg, a southpaw.

If you believe some people, it means that I’m more creative, more spontaneous, more innovative, more intellectual - and possibly more introvertive, than the rest of you. If you believe others, it means that I’m more likely to be killed while trying to use common tools and machinery (including firearms). Apparently, I’m more likely to develop schizophrenia than a right-handed person too. How reassuring.

I know I’m more likely to get ink on my hands from writing (damn left to right writing system)… Anyway, I only found out today that us wonderful lefties get our own day - the “annual celebration of left-handers superiority”, as they put it - and yes indeedy, it’s today! Frankly, with one in every 7 and a half of us being lefties, shouldn’t we get 50 days a year? - Or a whole month even, I’d take that. What month could be the lefties’ month?
