Who?
Hi there! First time here? Feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you like what you read, you can vote for me on IrishBlogs.info. Thanks for visiting!
Who is Niall?
Niall is Niall O’Keeffe. Or Níall Ó Caoímh in Irish (Gaeilge). That’s me, that is.
I’m a radio presenter (and producer, researcher, editor, voice-over artist, etc.!) and a freelance DJ with my own audio and lighting equipment, available for parties, functions, etc.! I’m also a web developer/designer and still write and maintain a number of sites as freelance projects.
I was born and grew up in Limerick, moved to Dublin with my family, went back to Limerick to go to college and work for a while, found a girl, got engaged, broke up, came back to Dublin, moved to Ardee, found a girl, settled down again, moved to Dundalk with her, lived there for nearly 4 years, 2 years of which I was engaged to her, broke up, and came back to Dublin fairly recently.
It’s been quite a ride, but now I’m free, single and seeking out my future, my ‘fortune and glory’ - as it were. I currently drive a Fiat Punto (but don’t hold that against me!)
Very good… And why the blog?
Well, like most personal blogs, this is simply a written record of various experiences, thoughts, and ideas I’ve had which I’ve decided to share with the world. Basically, it’s a journal where I keep various “bits and bobs” and occasionally open my mind on some topic or other. If it provokes people into responding and commenting, all the better!
What else have you done online?
Well, as a professional web developer I have, over the years, created and managed a fair few of web sites for plenty of high profile Irish companies. Most recently, I created the ShiteDrivers.com blog - a site which exposes bad driving on Irish roads,- and which I’ve handed over control of recently to a nice chap from Cork named Donncha. There are other sites also, and a few projects in development.
How can I contact you?
There’s loads of ways to get in touch with me, many of which are on this page.
Don’t I know you? Didn’t you used to work for a company with the initials “H.N.”?
Yes, but I’m feeling much better now, thanks.
